We are proud to be among the first 50 tourism businesses to sign up to The New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment.
For us this is not only about signing up to the 14 Commitments, but a tangible way to show our overall passion for sustainability.
From The Sustainable Tourism Commitment:
The Tourism Sustainability Commitment aims to ensure economic, environmental and social sustainability becomes a genuine ethical underpinning of our industry.
Tourism 2025 emphasises that to be sustainable, tourism must focus on growing value faster than volume. This will allow us to capitalise on the opportunities tourism offers, as well as mitigate risks that may impede the future wellbeing of the industry.
Sustainability provides numerous opportunities to grow the value of tourism businesses and the wider industry.
